Wikis

What are wikis?
Wikis are web pages that can be edited by more than one person. They are a part of the "read-write web" or what is commonly called Web 2.0. To put it still another way, wikis are "collaborative" web pages where content can be contributed, edited, and shared among many users at once.

What is "Wikispaces" and how to do create a free account?
Wikispaces is one example of a wiki used by many educators and the public. Educators can get a Wikispaces account with no advertising and a larger storage space by clicking **here**.

Examples of Wikis (using Wikispaces):

Example of a school wiki

Example of a classroom wiki in Fayetteville High School, Fayetteville, Alabama

Example of a teacher wiki to collaborate on technology

Example of a wiki on 21st Century skills in the classroom

Click here for a resource that can help you modify and "tweak" your Wikispaces pages. Keep in mind this will require that you alter html code.
